Tiny pinpricks of light break through a cloud of artificial ceiling. Safe in their metallic cocoons, they observe the happenings of the breathing life below. Observation stemming from the lack of anything better to do. Neither approving nor condemning, just watching. Not even bothering to process away the information.
And the breathing lives below go on with their day-to-day happenings - actions - stories. Aware but unconcerned that they are being watched. For who is afraid of a pinprick of light.

that's why I sleep with my rainbow brite night lite...
did you know that scientists recently found out that light travels in a medium and they were able to stop a single particle for like a tenth of a nano second or something... pretty interesting if you ask me... maybe those little beamy light guys need to upgrade their ships before they get found out...
oh no wait, is the answer... people with a history of skin cancer...
